Ninna GØtzsche

Ninna studied in Denmark and the UK, before serving an apprenticeship with Julian Stair. Since 2006 she has had her own studio in Aarhus, Denmark. She works with porcelain, with ‘its built-in echo from history, its lofty character trait and its simultaneous fragility’. The vases shown in this exhibition represent a new development in Ninna’s work. Details from the making show more clearly than in her earlier work: ‘I work in a more loose way. Decoration and glaze do not cover, but underline the forms, material and my personal expression. The final expression is very personal and individual.’
