Born in York, Jake Attree has based his studio for many years at Dean Clough in Halifax. He trained at York Art College, Liverpool College of Art and the Royal Academy. A prolific, dedicated painter, Jake embodies Constable's declaration that good painting 'can only be obtained by long contemplation and incessant labour'. Jake has exhibited widely in this country and abroad, and his work is held in many public collections in the UK, as well as private and corporate collections in the UK, Europe and the US.
