Suzi Tibbetts is an applied artist whose practice makes extensive use of found objects as she explores the limits of what is perceived as ‘jewellery’. ‘These pieces investigate the permanence and value of jewellery and the changes that objects experience whilst witnessing the passing of time. I am intrigued by the methods used to preserve and protect our jewellery; how precious pieces, particularly heirlooms, are often locked away, viewed as ‘too precious to wear’ and therefore never fulfil their purpose as jewellery.’
