After a career largely devoted to teaching art and craft, Lewis Creed decided to take up rag rug making, having watched his wife Louisa make them for 12 years. He works quickly and enthusiastically at creating what he self-deprecatingly calls his ‘fun rugs’. Whilst the animal themes of his work are often humorous, Lewis’s designs always exhibit an innate feeling for composition and colour.
