Louisa Creed is widely respected as one of the most accomplished rag rug makers in the UK. Louisa took up the craft when she was 50, after a career in music teaching and performance.
‘At that time I little knew that I was in on the beginning of a rag rug revival which continues to gain popularity. I was brought up in a family of painters and textile designers, and this has proved to be of enormous advantage to me, although I have never had any formal art training. In some ways I am glad I didn't, as I have enjoyed making my own discoveries, freshly and compulsively.’
